- Read chapters 4 & 5 in your textbook.
- Take notes for each section as you read.
- Be sure not to skip over the material on Thales' proposition and the section on Numerals, Geometry, and Math's Origins.
- Create cards for any events/dates that we should add to our timeline.
- Check out this video for Egyptian Numeration (You can stop watching this one after the 4 minute mark)
- Babylonians used a base 60 system instead of a base 10.

- After you are finished reading, complete this online QUIZ. (You may use your book and notes on the quiz.)

- Read chapters 7-9. As you read, write down characteristics for each character on the chart in your literature notebook. These do not have to be in complete sentences, but you will need to explain how you know these things about the characters.
